Theodore Scorgie, b. 3 April 1836. He married:
Margaret Cooper (b. 21 July 1839; d. 23 December 1927). They married on 24 November 1871 at Chapeltown, Methlick, Aberdeenshire. They had 7 children (all born at Courtstone, Tarves):
a. Violet Scorgie, b. 19 March 1872; d. 28 March 1872.
b. Theodore Scorgie, b. 14 April 1873; m. Jane Mackie on 23 June 1894; d. 10 June 1955.
c. William Scorgie, b. 24 February 1875; m. Margaret Dass on 19 November 1902.
d. Barbara Jane Henderson Scorgie, b. 13 February 1877; d. 31 March 1944 at 5 Albyn Place, Aberdeen.
e. Maggie Ann Scorgie, b. 24 February 1879; d. 12 June 1926 at the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
f. Isabella Scorgie, b. 17 June 1881; d. 13 July 1961 at the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
g. Robert Lind Scorgie, b. 26 May 1883; m. Elsie Ida Mary Turner on 26 December 1910 in Camberley, Surrey; d. 1950 in Southampton, Hampshire.
Theodore Scorgie was the son of Robert Scorgie (1798 – 1862) and Barbara Henderson (1805 – 1875). He was born at Courtstone and lived there all his life. He ran the farm successfully for many years, employing local staff to help with the work. Robert and Barbara had 4 children, of which Theodore was the youngest.
Theodore Scorgie died at Courtstone on 14 March 1919.
Margaret Cooper was the daughter of James Cooper (1809 – 1871) and Margaret Philip (1811 – 1890). She was born at Bourtie, Aberdeenshire. James and Margaret had 10 children. She died on 23 December 1927 at Courtstone.
